Seminar: Biology of acoustic communication in southwestern rodents

Acoustic signaling is a fundamental mode of animal communication and is increasingly being used by practitioners to inform wildlife conservation and management. In this talk, I highlight research on the function and mechanisms of acoustic signals in rodents of the southwestern United States and discuss applications to passive acoustic monitoring, sensory ecology, and captive breeding.
