Amy Hudson and Joshua Scholl named 2018-2019 McGinnies Fellowship Recipients

Congratulations to Amy Hudson and Joshua Scholl, co-recipients of the 2018-2019 McGinnies Fellowship and the 42nd recipients of the award. The William G. McGinnies Graduate Scholarship in Arid Lands Studies is given each year to a student(s) in honor of the founder of the Office of Arid Lands Studies, Dr. W.G. McGinnies. The intent of the McGinnies Graduate Scholarship is to provide additional support to graduate students whose dissertation research concerns physical and biological processes in the world's arid and semiarid lands. The graduate scholarship carries with it a stipend, the opportunity to give an invited public presentation, and a luncheon at the Arizona Inn with the awards committee.
Amy Hudson (left) is a PhD candidate in the School of Natural Resources and the Environment (Dave Moore as co-advisor) and the Laboratory of Tree Ring Research (Valerie Trouet, co-advisor). Her McGinnies Presentation will take place on April 26th at 11 am in ENR2 Room S225
Joshua Scholl (right) is a PhD candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology advised by Larry Venable. His McGinnies Presentation will take place in Fall 2019...stay tuned!
